Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia is one of the most famous / popular destination in Malaysia for bird-watchers / bird-lover especially highlands birds. Each species of this fine feathered friends is only to be found in particular habitat for feeding and If one is lucky it is possible to encounter the shy and rare Mountain Peacock Pheasant.

TOUR HIGHLIGHT :

The bird watching tour starts from your hotel or Tanah Rata town at 7.00 am and it takes 20 ~ 30 minute journey to the destination by vehicle. From there you have to slow walk, you will be spending about 2 ~ 3 hours highlands forest side for watching birds or taking picture in nature habitat. Our guide will follow with you, show and explain you about the birds in highlands forest.

You may see 20 -30 species or more in Cameron Highlands.

Malaysia has recorded more than 740 species of Rain-forest birds.

Note : Almost 30% of the Malaysian Birds are found in Cameron Highlands forest, Some are seasonal and some you see them all year around. The best birding time is around 0700-0900 hours and 1700-1830 hours when the bird activities are at its highest.
From 0900- 1330 is rather  dead...bird-less :)
